Pousada Castelo Palmela – Within the walled area of the castle of Palmela, donated by D. Sancho I in the 12th century to the Military Order of Santiago, great works were already carried out as early as the fifteenth century, particularly in the western sector, where a church was built and the convent of Santiago where the headquarters of the Order would be installed. Later, at the end of the seventeenth century, a new convent is built. Set classified as a national monument in 1910. Visit to the monument.
